It’s that time of year when many health professionals are scrambling to complete their Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits to ensure they meet the requirements to remain in good standing with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
If this describes you, you still have time to get the required credits before the May 31 deadline, and IFIC Foundation has a variety of free continuing education modules for Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) and dietetic technicians, registered (DTRs).
Each of these modules provide 1 hour of CPE credit upon completion of the program. Modules span the food safety and nutrition spectrum and include carbohydrates, acrylamide, dietary fats, and low-calorie sweeteners.
If you’ve already taken all of our existing courses, we will have something new for you soon as well: A brand new continuing education course titled, “Understanding and Communicating about Food Biotechnology: A Continuing Education Module for Registered Dietitian Nutritionists.” Be sure to check back frequently so you don’t miss the opportunity to add it to your continuing education credits (or if you’re all set for this year, get an early start on next year)!
In addition, throughout the year, the IFIC Foundation offers several opportunities for health professionals to earn continuing education credits by attending live webcasts on a variety of food, health, and nutrition topics. Stay tuned for the upcoming health professional webcast featuring consumer insights from our 10th annual Food & Health Survey, “What’s Your Health Worth?” in early June.
